Becker Knife Ideas

the new clip point tweener is pretty close to a collab as you'll see soon, yes? they did good on that.
 
I say make one with the blade from a big brother, not the regular Kabar blade.
 
I like gunkinfenut's design or the kukri in a shock steel like sr-77 or sr-101 and a micarta handle material.

I did see it. The tweener has a short blade (4.375 inches). That's even shorter than the short blade Ka-Bar (5.25 inches). The full size Ka-Bar blade is 7 inches.

I think a Big Brother would be cool to. But I think a 7 inch kabar is such an iconic and historic knife it would be a great combination of Ka-Bar and Becker. It could be the Ka-Becker or as Skystorm said BKabar.
 
How about a bushcraft type knife. Shrunk down BK2 with MUCH thinner stock and a scandi grind..... I'd buy me one of those.

I take it you haven't seen the upcoming BK-16?? Check out the tweener threads, I think the 16 is what your looking for. I know I've been having naughty dreams about it for a while now, LOL!!

I also did a design with moose called THE BUSH MOOSE and also came up with a bushcraft design myself called the BUSHBOY
 
Personally, after the tweeners come out, I think our next goal should be a Becker/Kabar folder!!

No, I saw the 16, but its not a scandi, and I like the handle of the BK2 a lot.

SilentJohn: Any way you could post up your designs here? I'd love to see them. I know the idea, but don't have an image in my head.

you could probably re-grind a BK-16 with a scandi... then bob's your uncle.

it would be far more effective to buy say, a Mora 2000, or an EKA H8 or A10, or possibly a Helle like a Taiga or Temagami (both have jimping), or maybe the Alden (very nice!) or Eggen

because it's simply unlikely you'll ever see a scandi grind on a factory Becker. ever. it's a lot of work to make a grind like that, would require a lot of effort and retooling, and it's also not Ethan's favorite (though i'm working on him ;>) people would try to baton lawn mowers with them, and that would be horrific. not gunna happen.
