Becker Knife Ideas

blind horse knives makes some nice knives with scandi grinds and there work is top notch i have a great knife made by them

check out the BHK boattail scandi

I'd like to see a Becker slip joint or SAK. I have 2 Beckers, but only carry pocket knives.

that would be sweet, a while back someone designed a Becker lock-back that was awesome I'll come up with something cool

Bladeite: I was thinking that'd be awesome with the BK16. You saying Bob is my uncle?

I have a scandi patch knife from BHK, I can concur at the quality.

That was DawsonBob who made that folding BK2.

Machax are for chopping, thats about it (right???).

What would the purpose be of a small machax? It would be too small to chop effectively, and I can't imagine what else you would use that type of blade shape for (IIRC, curved down = less speed but more power, curved up means the reverse (like the BK5)).

Mini Tactool might be interesting though, since that is primarily a prybar, rather than a chopper.

Also, if you scaled the handle up, it might work out ok, but for chopping I like the big becker handle, because it prevents your hand from slipping rearward. This might not work as well for that.

That said, nice photochop :).

I think the actual speed, all things the same except the shape, are going to be the same. How it sinks into the wood because of the way it is waited is going to be the determining factor.

I was just messing around bout a mini machax, but for my neck of the woods, with smaller shrubs. Having a smaller knife with a forward weighted blade could be helpful.

I wasn't sure if this should go here or in the tweener thread so I'm tossing it in both
