Becker Knives....Do You Like Them??

I hope they rerelease that kukri model. I'm not normally a fan of kuks for my uses (though I appreciate them) but Becker nailed it with that profile. I'm not 100% sure of the name of that style, though.

I've seen traditional khukuris like that called longleaf style. I don't know the anglicized Nepali for that though.

Yeah I've seen them called that, too, and have seen that stile of blade on some Indian-made kukris with tulwar or khanda hilts. It would be interesting to know the proper name for the style.

That's the Reinhardt Khukri. Been out of production for a while.
I'd love it if Ka-bar brought this bad boy back.
I see them on a popular auction site from time to time, but they fetch a premium.
BTW FortyTwoBlades, I really like your website. I'll be looking into a new Condor soon.

just giving my 2 cents, but ive had a becker bk2 for about a year an half now and has left nothing to be desired in performance for its design. you may want to re profile a bit to get a edge that you could skin and whittle with, but i'd thing you'd a have a dedicated skinner to do that. i personally love mine and am looking into getting a bk-14 when the money and opportunity arises

Well that explains it! Hank Reinhardt was quite the figure in the historical arms world, so it's not surprising that it has such nice lines.:thumbup:

And thanks for the kind words--I do what I can! :)
