Becker Kukri

there's chances some old employee has a box of them somewhere... one guy in particular might have more... they surface bnib sometimes. usually the epoxy ones. it's been a LONG time since i've seen a bead blast model for sale, and not new.

Well I live in cinci- is it man hunt time? :D:D

Any real chances of a new release of a becker kukri knife.

well, Machax: YES!

BeckerReinhardt: er, not EXACTLY... i think there are plots, far out, for SOMETHING, but updated, improved, new... but certainly no timeline.

ie: don't hold your breath :)

Machax: soon! year. well, soon in terms of seasons and stuff :) sooner in terms of BIG SHOWS. Shot Show 2012 is next. so... we'll see.

and yes! thanks for asking! it WILL be made in the USA. of course.

Buy Becker

where any of the kukris unmarked or copied?

yes. Cincinnati sterile gray second (and last) generation Reinhardt were epoxy coated but unmarked due to technical limitations :) Becker handles.

no copies that i know of.

there is also a related Blackjack Reinhardt model, with different handles. not a copy, simply a different khukri.

there should be pictures in the archive if you search, and of course, all over this forum.

i know you have one. confess. pictures.

i have been looking around at the photos however, the finish looked different. Until I took some photos of mine and put them on photo bucket. the finish is a glossy light gray. I think the photos are to large to post as is. what is the max kb for photos? Thanks for responding Bladite.

yup. looks like the sterile epoxy model.

It is my understanding that these are somewhat rare, any rough idea on what it is worth? If it is rare and has some significant value I hate to make it a user. Like allmost everyone here, I am looking forward to the machax being brought back into production.

Not going to be selling this one regardless.

Thanks.

It has never been made by Kabar since they started making the Becker knives. BK10 is coming back next year.

You never know though. Ka-bar may well bring it back. But they've got so much business that it might be a little while. I would buy one, or 3, though.

The gray painted Machaxes are Blackjack/effingham era......the silvery ones (like Doc's)are Cincy era kinda third generation and are industrial hard chromed........probably the best of the best as far as balance and utility of finish goes.....the hard chrome is pretty lubricious and probably helps penetration and clean up.....The gray Reinhardts are most likely a 1095 variant and there is also a very rare stainless version which is supposed to be 440A.and may not be....Always hard to tell with mikey....
Hank's kukri design is awsome, fearsome and scary as hell.....In either the original design wth his grip design or the thinner one with my grip they really get the job done.......Very different in some ways but, scaaaary always....
