I think you should also post links to the original thread.

Good idea. I was going to send you a message asking you to post up your sheath. So glad you are psychic as well as a giant, and able to read my thoughts. :D

I asked about the oil in this thread since most beckers are black

Oh, ok. But yeah, they come from the factory with the coating and then most of us strip the coating off and either polish, patina or blue them! Any of those three require oiling and regular cleaning. With any type of coating, you only need to oil the exposed steel. Coating will not rust and it is VERY well bonded to the steel. ( I know because i stripped mine with sand paper). There is no where for moisture to get in.

I prefer non black blades myself but I do have a benchmade with black blade as a user and have a dustar dimona black blade that I don't use but am considering selling.

Never had a becker but people seem to love them.

I can't come up with a catchy phrase, but once you go Becker, you don't go back!

(If there are more non-mod related question lets take this to the off topic sticky.)

I think the main Becker Modifications and Inspirations Thread should be stickied, and the OP of said thread should link to this one.

10 sticky rule in effect ;)

i can of course, link it in the appropriate LIST OF LISTS section - there's a mod section right there, waiting for content just like this one.

that makes it two clicks away, at any given time, while in the top level :)

I really don't think that I've done anything worth posting in that thread, but it's a really cool idea Derek.

Were the hell you been hiding Derek?

you missed your appointment today at the clinic for your tetanus shot.....

random thought i had.... has anyone tried to make a stacked leather handle for any of their beckers?

I'm in the process of doing some layered leather/epoxy material to make some scales out of. It's basically a micarta with leather used as the base material instead of linen. Hopefully it works, should look pretty cool.
