Becker Modifications and Inspirations Discussion Thread

sounds like an awesome idea.

I just thought of the idea while i was playing around with my kabar usmc earlier today.

Thought it would look awesome to handle like that on a bk11 or maybe a 14

Yeah, Nick had come up with that awhile back. There is a pic somewhere. I might try to track that down.

I'm really liking coverblade's BK9 chopper with the Rambo-ish blade. Guess I'm gonna have to get yet another 9 to fiddle around with.

bluefivespot, DerekH asked that commentary go in the separate discussion thread. Please post your compliment there. Thanks.

I don't know who moved these posts over, but now they make no sense in this context. Edited.

OK, this question may be pertinent. I found half an Elk rack last year that the warden wants me to toss. Ut, uh. I'm slicing it up this winter and making handles\slabs\grips, whatever term du jour. Do you need to stabilize or treat natural bone for knife grip use ?

I kinda want to say no, but I am not super knowledgeable on these things. Anyone got any ideas?

Seems like I've heard of folks using Minwax, Wood hardener on stag to good effect.
