Becker "Move Your Butt" Challenge - March 2014

The idea is simple. Move your body. Get fitter.
It ain't a contest. It's about doing what you can do to get mobile.

Between the dates of March 1 and March 31, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
4 miles (6.4 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 6 Becker Points

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 200 miles, or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 8.3 miles. But you can combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.

The reward? You'll feel better, and you'll be participating with a group of supportive peers.

Started off the new month with a nice 3-miler this morning.....and then broke open a beer or two after lunch :o

I started this month off right with 4 miles of walking and hiking. Last month, I grossly failed to complete 50 miles in February :barf: Sickness and a busy work schedule conspired against me. Here we go with a new month and a new, invigorating challenge!

Between playing handyman for a friend, helping my FIL with his busted attic ladder, and fixing my thought-it-was-complete car stereo and regular family stuff , I got a total of a 1 mile walk in this weekend. Argh.

BP = 1.
