Becker Necker & Campanion!

to me the crewman & companion are to stubby,my favorite Beckers are the BK7 & BK11 & BK1 IMO,not saying I will not pick up one LOL !

I don't know, mac. I thought it would be one heck of a foraging tool - don't like the partially serrated edge though. Karen Hood, in one of her videos, uses it to dig up some thistle, chop it, peel it, etc. and I thought, hey, that would be a really good tool for that. You could kick the heck out of it and no worries.

Actually, I almost got one from Guyon but once he checked his inventory, I was a bit late. :( I have a BK-7 I might adapt for that use, though.

Your right, that blunt tip would also be great for wood working.
If it was paired with a bushcraft style knife I wouldn't mind the serrations, it would actually be a pretty strong combo.

The serrations would probably be handy in a foraging knife for cutting through tough plant stalks or roots. JMHO.

I'm going to pick up a necker for sure and maybe a big chopper like the machax or BK-9.

You might be right, 3wolves, but I just don't like serrations. Besides with the serrations removed, it gives plenty of chopping length for tough stalks and roots.

Are they going to make the Machax again? I thought they weren't.

Hey guys, taking another look at the tac-tool did you know its chisel ground.
I know chisel grinds have had somewhat of a revival recently but I just thought I would let you guys know.
 
I heard from another forum that something similar to the necker will come out. Anybody know??
