to me the crewman & companion are to stubby,my favorite Beckers are the BK7 & BK11 & BK1 IMO,not saying I will not pick up one LOL !

Not really a woods blade, more like a SHTF urban piece.
I don't know, mac. I thought it would be one heck of a foraging tool - don't like the partially serrated edge though.

Your right, that blunt tip would also be great for wood working.
If it was paired with a bushcraft style knife I wouldn't mind the serrations, it would actually be a pretty strong combo.
The serrations would probably be handy in a foraging knife for cutting through tough plant stalks or roots. JMHO.
I'm going to pick up a necker for sure and maybe a big chopper like the machax or BK-9.
Man, a machax would be sweet. Ive wanted one of those for awhile.....
