I just checked both of the FAQ's theres nothing about the cord wrapped BK-11's.
Found it and I feel honored to have my thread in the FAQ![]()

I left the cord whole(versus gutting it) and melted & mushroomed the ends over the holes. It was kind of pointless, since I put a lanyard on it -- the lanyard could have been incorporated into the wrap. I think I might just cut the lanyard off.

I like how you "mushroomed" over the ends. I'm going to do that when I re-wrap my BK11 but I need some more black paracord. And when you "mushroom" them does the cord move around?
I would be more than happy to share my photos but, i do not think i have privileges to do so.
You can't upload them to bladeforums directly, but if you have a photobucket you can post them here.
Also, today I got my KA-BAR TDI clip and I was very disappointed with it. One of the holes for the thing was bent it has a thin layer of rust on it and the scews were a pain to put on. I was kind of expecting more but I may have just gotten a lemon.
Send it back.

It didn't move. I just held it in place from the other side. It melts kind of naturally into that shape, but I used a wet finger to mash it down when it was about where I wanted it.
eta: I just realized what you meant by move around. I wrapped it as tight as my fingers could hold, so there was tension on it when the cord was melted. It's still as tight as it was when I first did it, and the little nylon "buttons" aren't showing any wear.
