DK

Donkey Kong is here :D

All right gents....
Over 15 posts with no pics?
Let's get this going again.
Please. :D

If you wanna get it movin' head to your local used/retro video game store. They're sure to have a copy you can take a pic of. ;)

would it be considered cheating to google image search DK, hold a knife in front of the screen and then snap a pic?

I'd go to the local KTM dealer to grab the previous pic before I would hold a knife in front of an image on my computer. If you don't have access to the item, sit it out...of course, that's just my opinion. I think the rules are somewhat flexible - I'm guessing the person that made the challenge gets to make that call

It's been done before

This is supposed to be a scavenger hunt, not a Quest for the Holy Grail. Plus it's no fun for anyone when the thread stalls out ad infinitum....

I would like to see a pic of a becker and an actual DVD or VHS of ANy Monty Python movie....though I would prefer....yes, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

You asked for a picture of a Donkey Kong 64, Noswad....and that is what I have posted.

That's all i was getting at - no need to see this thread stall out. Maybe just a little bit of peril.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I was beginning to think that in four days from now, we were going to get another totally obscure reset...

On to the task at hand.

Tis but a scratch:

Let's go with a Becker and some type of djembe (basically, a goblet shaped drum played with the hands) next. Large, small, any color, and any make will do. I'm guessing that there are more than a few people that participate in drum circles here. :)

I thought a popular motorcycle brand or a popular video game would be easier to find than some strange type of drum, but maybe that's just me?

Either way, at least we're moving.

I'm just glad for something other than an obscure reset. :p

No harm meant, but it is just you. "Popular" video game? In 1998. It's 2015. "Popular" motorcycle brand? That would be a HD, or a BMW, or a Honda, or any number of actually "popular" motorcycles. Guaranteed there are more djembe's around than the "popular" motorcycles and Donkey Kong video game cartridges added together.

But as you said, at least we're moving...;)

Edit: If nobody has a djembe and a Becker in three days, I'll change it - I won't let the thread just die...

For those that are breathing hard about a djembe, here is my 16" example...

While that size is pretty rare to find, and I am usually the only one at a drum circle with one that size, a djembe and a Becker shouldn't be too hard of a request. At least they're still being made...

I know several people who have a real DK64 cartridge, admittedly it was from quite some time ago, but I figured it would be easy enough to find one.

And if you don't think KTM is a popular brand, you need to brush up on dirt bikes seeing as a KTM rider is the champion of most major off road motorcycle racing series in the USA. I can probably go take an hour drive and see at least one KTM, but probably not gonna see a djembe.

Hopefully there were no hard feelings caused by my supposed ignorance on the subjects at hand. ;)

So are KTMs. ;)

I'd post a djembe pic except I'm not home and I'll be packing for the Gathering when I get there. I will say I was a little surprised no one had a KTM pic....but NOT surprised no one could come up with a DK64 cart. I'm pretty sure a djembe or similar will be found.
