wip1218006.jpg

started these at the begining of this year just finally picking them up again and making some progress, i'm a slacker. not perfect, but coming out pretty good right now. If you look close you can see were a few i's and t's aren't crossed :( but nothing i can't fix or cover up. :D
black canvas micarta with blue liners, extended the handle of the bk-11 about a inch.
i'll keep posting some progress pics in this thread, i might actually finish these this week.

I don't know. Not my cup of tea. They seem a little, um...let's say 'blocky', for my tastes.

(I just couldn't resist)

I was gonna say, Dis, you must have an extra knuckle on your fingers, cause that BK11 handle would be WAY to big for my hooves.:D

I had to wait for someone else to go first on that one.

all i ordered was 3/8th micarta, should of got some thinner stock too, i will take it down a good bit, but on the few rehandles i've done i find if you start thick you can really blend the contours plus have a little room for error

Way easier to take away than to put on. I understand, just a little handle humor. Don't get so touchy. Sheesh.:D:D:D

sorry my extra knuckles took offense :p , their is a point though i do feel like i'm wasting material, i have a pile of stuff to rehandle, i just need to plan better in the furture when working on prodjects. I think my patrol machete might be in line next :D

Don't epoxy the BK6, it will crack in cold weather, due to the vibes. I've seen it. Add a spacer for a better fit, but no adhesives, they will let go in cold weather. Just a suggestion, ;). The BK6 has a different temper and allows hard shocks to pass the length, and it ruins hard cast resins. You can use a soft filler though, but, I'm kinda buzzin' so I can't think of what its called.
