As you all may know I work at Bass Pro Shop on the weekend selling guns and knives. Well tonight I was working the knife counter and a fella came up and wanted to check out the Buck Hoodlum so as usual I recommend he check out a Bk9 and low and behold he already had one along with the rest of the Becker line. We ended up talking Beckers and what do you know how is a member here and is curently working on getting his BH number. I'm not gunna put his name out without his permission but I thought it was cool running into him. And here I thought me and RuogBowie were the only ones around these parts.

Ps. I get in trouble all the time for recommending Beckers instead of trying to sell the junk we carry lol

Dude now I need to find out who this is!! Hopefully he comes forth and reveals himself, did you invite him to our lunch?

Lol sorry dude I spelt your user name wrong like always, you know what I forgot to ask him but he said he was going to write me so I'll talk to him about it then. When he told me his name I knew exactly who he was.

I love Beckers, but I wouldn't exactly classify the Hoodlum as 'junk'.

Still, it's good to run into Becker fans regardless of the circumstances.

It would be kind of fun to see an Ethan Becker inspired competition in Bass Pro. "Here kid, take this BK-9 and see if you can slice through that hanging rope!"

You'd have kids, and lawyers, lined up out the door.

That's awesome. I always wonder if any other Beckerheads recognize mine. I ride a motorcycle every day since I live in the Phoenix valley... and I have my BK16 attached to my 5.11 MOAB 10 pack which is my daily carry bag. Not sure if anyone ever notices...

Does anyone know if there are any BK&T vinyl stickers that I could stick on my bike somewhere?

Cool experience! Every time I've asked about Becker knives at Bass Pro, they say "You mean Boker, right?"

Johnny1280, that's exactly what I'm looking for..

I'm gonna ave to do some Google'ing... If I find a source, I'll post back here.

What side of the Valley are you on, and what do you ride? I commute 110+ miles a day on my '01 ZX6R between Deer Valley and Gilbert. :)

Excellent setup for EDC use, by the way. I'd probably have something similar, but school frowns on large blades, and my boss would question my sanity (though he lets me carry at work without issue, having a large fixed blade would probably garnish a good deal of "harassment" from him, LOL).

I live in Surprise and work in N Scottsdale. My commute is about 75 miles or so. '06 CBR 1000RR all black. Pretty much Bell and 101 the whole way. Sometimes I'll take 17 to Happy Valley to 303 if it's later and Bell traffic is going to suck.

Always happy to meet up with new riders though. Let me know if you wanna plan a ride some time. Would a blast to take an overnight run up to Prescott and camp out.

I was actually supposed to go up by Payson with some friends this weekend but if fell through... so I'm ready to GTFO! :)

To the OP
I was set up at a flea market in NH today, and ran across a member here at BF, he had just bought a BK7 not to long ago!
I gave him a good deal on an Axe that I had at my table.

NOW, for stickers...man, I want one to. I have a TOMARS sticker around here somewhere...but I would love a straight up BECKER bumper sticker, that would be cool.

Yea I take back what I said about carrying junk. I actually like the Hoodlum and Punk that we carry and I'm a big fan of the late Ron Hood. He was a good guy and a great knife designer.

It really seems to have a big enough following. I'm rather surprised KABAR doesn't capitalize on the market and offer a bunch of BK&T(and other divisions) schwag. I would buy T-shirts, stickers, patches, etc.

I know there are Beckerhead patches.... and I've been impatiently waiting for approval for a couple of weeks now for my number... but there is definitely money to be made here. That sticker on Johnny1280's truck is exactly what I want... although maybe a little smaller... but whatever... they should have them in several sizes.

If anyone has a high res image of the BK&T logo I can set up some stuff on cafepress or zazzle. I don't want to make a profit on anything and not trying any kind of copyright infringement. Just want to help the fans promote the brand.

PM me your shipping info and exactly what you want size wise and I'll get one mailed out too you.
