Beckerhead firearms

I run the same belt but in super uber cool multicam (gives +5 to fake operator skills). I use tactical tailor fight light mostly for mag pouches and my dump pouch.

Thanks :) I'm really digging it myself. It feels like the grip's made after a model of my hand, and the trigger pull is just about as smooth as my shooting clubs match guns. I suggest you try again to get one. I have a feeling you won't regret it.

I found the barrel i want for my shottie too now. An 18" smooth bore with rifle sights. It might take some time though, because if my wife sees more money leaving the bank in the near future i'll have to hide the keys to the gun safe from her ;)

Mmm, ok. Nope, I don't regret it! :)
2 years ago, I settled for the only CZ then available that I knew about, a .45 caliber CZ97B. Huge pistol, heavy.
A few weeks back though, I got an email from a dealer out of state who had "a few" 75B's in stock, so I jumped on it.

I need to find a day to dirty it up some at the range now. :D

Suhweet! Congratulations;)
If you don't have very fat fingers i can really recommend the rubber hogue grips. The gun just locks into the hand.

Looks like my rem 760 will arive next week, and i won a valmet 22lr match rifle in a giveaway yesterday. Triggerpull and accuracy is said to be off the charts:D small game beware...

The nickel plated steel cored rounds for these are fun :) I've shot them through some old car disk breaks

Gave mine and the missus' the rattle-can treatment today, looks a bit Deutsche fleck tarn to me:

And for Qeth, thought you'd appreciate progress on the m92....

tanglediver,
I really do appreciate the accuracy and appearance of CZs as well. I love my P-01. The DA is super heavy but I can still hit well with it. The SA is very nice and makes shooting accurately easy. If you haven't already looked into them, I highly recommend VZ grips for your CZ. I went with some tactical diamonds last week for my P-01 and it was great at the range. Makes the grip slightly less wide (which you may or may not like) but it feels great in hand.

And, it looks great on a CZ:

After I got back from Korea, I was sent to 29 Palms, but the first chance I got I went to Camp Pendleton as a Rifle Instructor. The only qualification for the job was that you had to have fired expert. This was back in the day when we used big heavy (10 pounds or so & much heavier than a BK2!) M1s. I became a senior coach and liked doing that a lot. They asked me to ship over and I said I would if I could keep doing what I was doing, but they couldn't promise me that so I got out, went to college and became an engineer instead.

But I did come away with a fondness for guns. A contract administrator and I used to go to the Long Beach Pistol Range (back in the day when that was open to the public) once a week. I used a 6 inch Colt Trooper which I still like a lot. I subsequently got a 2 1/2 inch barreled S&W 357 for hiking. With its Bianchi holster the setup weighs a hair under 2.8 pounds (a bit heavier than my BK2 setup).

As I got used to there not being anything very dangerous on my hiking locations I switched to Walther P22. Loaded and with holster it weighs 1.2 pounds. My BK2 with its current holster of choice weighs 2.5 pounds.

At some point, maybe after hearing from some environmental scientists about finding Cougar tracks where I hike, I bought a CZ-75 P-01. With its holster it weighs 2.2 1/2 pounds.

I used to do a fair amount of bird hunting and have several shotguns. I customized a Mauser 98 -- sort of -- and got another I kept stock. I have a Ruger in 7mm Remington Magnum but no place around here to shoot something like that, or any of my rifles for that matter.

I liked the idea of having something in the 30/30 range but they seemed over-priced when I was in the mood so I got a couple of SKSs which are more reliable if one can believe the reviews.

If I ever became a true survivalist and wanted to build up a bug-out bag it would be way, way, way, way heavier than a BK2.

Ah! My first AR was a Stag--I still get some of my best shots off of it....maybe just out of knowing how the rifle handles....

I bought a new CZ 550 FS in .308 on Saturday! I love it, beautiful Manlicher stock! the iron sites are great (no scopes up in here :D) I just ordered a sling for it too
