Beckerhead firearms

Here's a few of mine. Just sold my 870, should'a kept it, those are my favorite pumps by far.
Interestingly, the most expensive gun I own is a Styer pellet gun (not pictured)....

Knifeleather, I just recently got that Exact Mossburg. I love mine. Had a Remmy 1187 and the Mossy is a much nicer gun in all categories.

For you AKM 7.62x39 fans, Primary Arms carries 7.62x39 AKM magazine followers that allow last round bolt hold open. Tried it on 3 different magazines on both a stamped and milled receiver. Function check passed, now to get to the range and see it in action.

Just picked up a 3pack of those last week!

The new follower installed in the mag on the left.
Will take them out to the range next week for a function check.

Also scored a Norinco 1911 from a buddy of mine.
Has had quite a bit of work done to it: Novak sights, beavertail, beveled mag well, ambi safety, awesome trigger job, (breaks at about 2.5lbs), Pachmeyer grips...

Very sweet pistol!

Gosh I love me some 1911s. My first was a very nice ORM Colt 1991a1 but the spur hammer didn't agree with my hand. A buddy turned me onto a local gunsmith and I had had him do a few repairs before on some of my stuff but when he did the beavertail he buggered it all up. I was pretty ticked.

Between selling my 870 and some good black Friday deals, I figured it was time to put together my other lower.

It was too cold to do it in the garage, so I grabbed a smaller clamp and set up shop inside the house. I asked one of my bosses for permission to use her desk, she said yes so long as she can watch to make sure I don't mess it up.

The afore mentioned boss, reminding me to not forget the disconnect spring again.

The bottom AR is what I completed that day. The handguard was still en route.

The new handguard came in the next day, and this is the nearly finished product.

I'm going back and forth between the different handstops/ grips, but right now I'm leaning towards the Gripstop by Lanco Tactical.

Now it's time to save my pennies for an optic. I'll run irons in the meantime.

Wish I were a beckerhead. Recommended firearms include something in .308 (semi or bolt)- .22 lr(ba or semi) GLOCK pistol and something that takes ar15 mags.... But. I'm almost as big a Becker addict as a gun addict. I got prollums...

Recently cut down the barrel on my remmy 870 to 17" and installed a dead ringer accu bead fiberoptic sight. (I'll get some pics up tomorow)
Got a redfield 4x32 scope on the may for the 760, and it seems i'm gonna be getting 500 acres of hunting ground at my disposal next year.

Where i live we have to send in an aplication to the authorities for each firearm we want to purchase, so i sendt in 3 in november for a 10/22, Mini14 (semi auto rifles have to be model specific) and a new bolt action rifle in .308 or 6.5x55mm... Should get approved in late january;)
(Yeah, i know. 2 months waiting time to buy a gun. It's no more fun than it sounds)

I got a real hankering for a Mini 14 tactical.

Bigghoss, I have a Ruger Mini 30 tricked out just a little with a folding stock and a recoil reducer/flash suppressor, and I LOVE it. Tons of fun to shoot, although .223 would be cheaper to plink with for sure.

Steel cased stuff is about the same price per round. Want to get a mini 30 tactical too. I just want all the guns.

I'll probably end up getting a used ranch rifle or something, and buying a tapco t6 or archangel sparta stock for it.
Would love a mini 30 to, but with a maximum of 6 legal hunting weapons i have to have my priorities straight, and finding 7.62x39 ammo in norway is no easy task. 223/556 is much more available.

There seems to be something missing here... What's it called again? Oh yeah, PICS!

Nice job on those AR's Qeth! I've been toying with getting an 80% lower, too. Any recommendations?

Now that's a nice mini. Sadly folding stocks are illegal here (or not totally illegal, but the minimum length of a long arm is 840mm with min. 400mm barrel length, so folding stocks make em too short)
My remmy after i cut the barrel and installed the accu bead sight.

Thanks, they're fun to do.

Have a pic of all the springs/ parts so you can tell which spring is which, a couple (such as the disconnect spring and bolt catch spring) are very similar in size and shape.

CMMG has a nice LPK (lower parts kit) that has bagged the parts in groups. There's a youtube video that pretty much lays it all out, no guess work which spring is which. "Take the blue bag, which contains parts a, b, and c, etc". Trigger is decent, especially if you polish it up to make it nice and smooth. I have one in my AR pistol, the other has a Spike's Enhanced LPK.

If it's your first AR, be prepared to fine tune. It might not cycle properly, you might get FTF or FTEs, etc. Gas port holes, gas block distance (carbine, middy, rifle), buffer spring, and the weight of the buffer, and ammo pressure can make even a perfect upper hiccup. Once you find your sweet spot, you'll see less problems. My AR pistol was FTE or FTF on rapid fire speed drills, and a simple swap from carbine weight buffer to H buffer slowed everything down just enough time to eject or feed properly.

And have fun, it's an addicting hobby.

Those Fiber sight beads have finally won me over. They really are nice.

Yeah, i was kind of sceptical myself, but once i got a downrange view and saw how that bead caught the eye i knew i needed one :P
The range has closed down for christmas, but i'll try to bring her out once they open and see how she does on clays now with a wider shot pattern and the new sight.

Edit: Added a family photo while i was at it: A scope for the 760 went in the mail today.
