Beckerhead Hammock-heads?

Loved reading this thread, I think I'm going to try out a hennessy. Anyone know of any two person units?

If your asking for just lounging around in, I'd get a cheap hammock for two, or build one. If your looking to sleep two, I'd pass. I could be wrong, but I'm not sure I would really want to sleep in a hammock made for 2. If laying in an asymetrical hammock, your weight would sink both of you into each other. That and everytime either of you moved, it would wake your partner.

I'm right here on the fence. I used to do a tent, then a bivy sack. I liked getting lower pack weight, but I've always had trouble sleeping, even with a pad, pillow, and a nice sleeping bag. I'm wanting to sleep better, who doesn't?

I'm eyeballing the Hennesy website. I'm 6' tall, and 180 lbs. I'm interested in the Ultra-Light Backpacker or the Explorer Deluxe. How much more room will I have in the Deluxe? Is the extra weight worth it? How about their rainfly materials, the sil-nylon 30 Denier vs the 70 denier polyurethane rip-stop polyester? I tend to want the more durable, but the tarp may not ever touch or rub on much at all.
I've got the money, just trying to decide.

i've the safari model, my third hennesey. love it. huge and spacious for a 5'11" and 260 lb kinda guy.

saw a number of evo nests on my last camping trip, a few hennesseys and some people improvising (sad!)... hammocks are the way to go when you have trees and can't count on the ground being... flat. or dry. or well, ground :) also, bed sleep ever. i'm almost considering eyebolting up my bedroom for my full size mayan and ditching the bed. the bed has good uses though, like storage, and lounging :) oh, fine, it's the second best sleep evah :)

I have a cheap mosquito net hammock, similar to the Moskito Hammock design. I also have a 3m x 4m tarp. I'll take some photos if I get the chance and post it up. I'll probably spend more on one if I like hammock camping. Currently this set up is in my pack for emergency use if I get held up from heading back to the car for day trips. Torrential downpour up the mountain have been known to cut us off as river swells up.

Is it the Byers of Maine hammock thats about $30?. That's the one I wrecked when I flipped it.

My ENO doublenest should be there when I get home. Hopefully my whoopie slings ship quick. Next piece is a Canteenshop Custom Tarp and the ENO Bug Guardian. I can get the latter locally though.

Yup, did it tear? I modded it by bunching up the ends with a constrictor knot as I am told it will hold better that way. I love the size ENO packs into. It's really small.

Cheers!
