thanks, guys. I do believe that once down this path, we should strive to one up ourselves, just for the fun of it. Not a competition, just an artisanal instinct to achieve beauty. This thread has been an awesome inspiration, keep'em coming!

I thought to keep it when it came back from HT, then decided it would make a badass gift for my brother and started carving, with a short story written for it. I think he liked it

While recovering at home after surgery, I made another sheath for one of my puukko projects. This sheath is buffalo leather I dyed black. I made the oval jump ring from 3/32" brass rod and the belt loop is secured by a Chicago screw post. The carved wooden insert is sealed with urethane.

Pretty cool...... I snagged a few large circular saw blades out of the scrap barrel at work.... I often wondered if I could make a knife out of them... I'd love to hear/see more examples

this was my first try with sawblade steel.
going to try making an ultralight cruiser hatchet out of the rest of it.
