Beckerhead Knife Making and Modification Thread

The fighter is coming along. The handle is walnut Cut from a piece that was cut about 70 years ago. Not super fancy, but hard and has good color and grain. I decided not to curve the lower portion of the guard since the knife fits my hand just right the way it is. All parts are fit together snugly. It is not perfect, but I'm happy with it. BTW daizee, the black paper micarta was absolutely the right call.

Super sick hawk.

Man, this hits all the high points for me. Made me think of a Classic Star Wars quote “an elegant weapon...for a more civilized age.” I love the lines of the blade and the contours of the handle. Bravo, Hawk!

Warrior, Aikiguy and GeofS Thank you all for your encouragement and comments all these years. Everything started modifying tomahawks and Becker knives with files and a bench grinder. Bladeforums has been a great place to learn, ask questions and get advice from some of the best knife makers and enthusiasts around. I was fortunate to grow up in a creative family and marry a woman who is a great potter. After retiring from hospital practice I have been blessed to be able to channel my creative energy into knives and tomahawks. Bladeforums and the Becker forum have both been places where I have been able to learn more about my craft and meet fellows from all over the USA and the world. My Thanks to everyone.

I feel privileged to be able to see your work. Thank you for sharing.
