Beckerhead Knife Making and Modification Thread

So there I was, making a set of hinges and handles for a small bench box, when I thought to myself: "self, you have a hot forge and 6" scrap of 3/8" 4140. " So I made a small blacksmith knife.

I love it all!!

FINALLY:

Mangled a couple of good rasps to practice hammer welding

The larger one had the ends folded in before folding it in half
The smaller one is a single fold using a 9" section of rasp - I'm also forging a blacksmith knife out of the tang and last 5" I cut off.

Do you ever watch clips from anvil Anna? She does a lot of work with rasp files, mostly making spurs.

She does other stuff, I thought she did a hatchet, hammer welding it. She has a ton of videos.

The thread is LIT this week!! :D
You guys are killing it!

BTW, if anyone is in the CT/RI area, the NCCA.info annual knife show comes back to the Mystic Hilton this weekend. I'll be there with just a handful of knives, surrounded by fantastic makers.
