Thanks, fellas, glad you like it.
And just trying to keep up with you, 'Head.
I'll be lucky if my first puuko turns out so well.

I hope it is appropriate to post this here.

This past weekend, I experimented with kydex for the first time. I recently got a BR Bravo Micro in Elmax. It’s tiny! The whole knife is approximately 5 inches in length. It came with a leather sheath that’s nice but in my opinion isn’t exactly practical. It smothers the knife and is not easily opened or closed.

I wanted to make a secure kydex sheath that I could carry in my pocket.

Pics...

I learned a lot with my first try. I plan to try another sheath this upcoming weekend.

Great first bend, Geof.
For a pocket sheath, you may discover you want a wider, square-bottomed sheath to keep it from tipping diagonally or sideways in your pocket. Also depends on your pockets! :D

Thank you. You’re 100% right. I also want to curl the edge so I can disengage the knife easier with my thumb.

Man...it’s been awhile since I checked in on this thread. Awesome stuff here!
Daizee, Hawkhead you guys are unreal. Very, very cool stuff.
Not to shabby for your Kydex sheath there GeofS. Looks really good.

I really enjoyed doing the cold blue on a few of my Becker’s way back when. I’d like to try the ‘ol Clich method and blue/bleach a blade. If/when I do, I’ll make sure and post it here.

Keep up the good work gents!!

My latest puukko is 90% complete. 107mm blade, 600x satin finish, brass bolsters, black alder and padauk handle with satin oil finish. I am still experimenting with subtle modifications to handle shape.
completely and utterly sick.
