Beckerhead pets

Thank you sir.

We truly love these dogs. And all dogs. I grew up with a Rott and a Beagle while my wife grew up with Corgi. She was initially a bit unsure about getting a Rottie but after meeting our family Rott, she began to appreciate the breed. That's how we ended up with two!:D

Oh, and we think Bostons are one amazing breed. My wife calls them Boston Terrors!:D

You are indeed welcome. Lol, tell your wife that she is correct with the name Boston Terror. My father also has a Rott named Medusa who is 10 and just had her hip operation..so he took off work for two weeks to tend to her..I would have done it too !

Rotts are wonderful animals, I raised my 3 kids on a pair of Rotts. We currently have an 11 year yellow lab named Josie, Jo for short, and her new companion, a 3 month old Aussie cattle dog named Sally. With Joe being 11 and all you know her time is coming to an end and I have decided that I will replace her with another Rott. I love working dogs, that is very cool that you actually get your pups out there to do what they were bred for, herding, very cool indeed.

Boston Terror works....My wife claims that they are aliens, mostly benign, sent to teach us-----what, exactly, I am still unsure.........

I agree. It's always amazing when you see working dogs doing what they were bred to do. I don't think many folks realize the versatility of the Rottweiler breed. Where we live, we can return wine and beer bottles to the beer store for a deposit and recycling. We'll often load up the dog packs with the empty bottles and have the dogs carry them to the store. The dogs enjoy the work and it transforms how people perceive the breed.

So true Mr. Becker. We have a friend with a Boston named Butters and he is AMAZING. Capable of quickly destroying almost any chew toy and then becoming the most adorable and affectionate lap dog.

Destroy. Check ! My family and I actually buy toys and place bets $ as to how long it will last Deebo (seriously). I usually win because I buy him anything that says INDESTRUCTABLE or KONG lol. I tried buying him a softball and...3 minutes later, it ceased being a real ball..see pic #2. My wife says he does that because he needs to go to church !

We have the smaller kind...

my wife was looking out the kitchen window and saw 2 little faces peering out from under the neighbor's fence right at their garden storage building. She fed them for awhile then we decided to catch them before something happened to them. She thought about taming them and then trying to give them away but it didn't work, once they were here we couldn't let them go.

Here is my beloved cat fluffy, she climbed over our fence one day and never left, She was a stray kitten that we think had somewhat of a hard start to life, she was really jumpy and un-trusting, but now she is the most loyal cuddly cat ever. I also have a siamese fighting fish, my girlfriend has 200+ tropical fish and a rainbow lorakeet, my parents have a cokatoo and a french mastiff puppy.

It's a little late, but I thought I'd add some pics of my pooch. Her name is Shadow, she is 20 months old and she is a golden retriever cross siberian husky. She is a loving dog, loves kids, adults and everyone in between. She enjoys the dog park, the beach, playing, hiking, and digging in the lawn :) She is so great and gentle with people that I am thinking of making her a therapy dog, I think she would be great at it.

Cute puppy pics:

Being a good girl a begging for a treat:

Freakzilla!! and yes there is no toy short of an old tire that he cant destroy in short order!!!

First we have our Black Lab/ Pitt mix...and his name is BECKER.

Here is Becker when he was ...smaller, and Crush O'Malley Our, dude-of-the-house... cat..and yes, he was born w/that bob-tail.

Crush O'Malley

This is MICKY our Hahns Macaw

Irwin, Our Blue Tongue Skink

RIP..This was our High-pink, translucent, Veiled Chameleon..

At one point in time we had over 125 snakes in our house, I used to breed them for the pet trade and breeding projects, and sold them at expos, and to people all over the country....This is my VERY FIRST snake ..LESTER, He is a Yellow Rat Snake, and an absolute sweetie.

Over the years we had many, many pets...Most came from my reptile breeding and I don't have time to post all of them hahahah...Here is one of my more interesting pet choices...This is Pete..He is a Fishing Spider that I caught down at the river as a baby..I fed him and got to watch him grow, and we ended up letting him go so he could find a Pete-et.

so those are a few of our critters =)

This is Nutmeg.
She's 5 now. Pics when she was 3.
She's a Rat Terrier. IIRC they are bred with a bit of the Boston Terror in 'em.
We had to replace a LOT of shoes that first year...

Sorry, since she's a rat dog, I got my Rat and my Dog in there instead of my Beckers... Don't Hate!

Here is Remington (Remi), our 13 year old Aussie mixed with something. He is a rescue dog. The saying goes "who rescued who" He's old and slow now but still in good health.

And this little guy is Woofy. He is a maniac! 3 year old Schnauzer mix. Another rescue, he was a stray that some jack hole dropped off on the side of the road when he was about 12 weeks old. He loves life, tail always wagging, and an absolute joy. I laugh at him all the time.

And Remi showing Woof who is the boss.

One of my vicious killers. She's 8 years old now, she was 7 in this pic.
