myb: +2.5 = 56 - jog with the dog
bsp: +3 = 34 pullup day.
Mike that's awesome about the running! (ya running jogging whatever it's still moving your butt). I find with mine, I just need to get my groove or rhythm down. Pace + breathing = me going. Once I get over the first hurdle of getting that down (normally after the first mile) I'm going to keep going for a little while. It's just finding that point that sucks lol.
Do have an end goal of how far you want to be able to go? or for now are you just trying to improve?
No end goals. I (quite literally) tore my left hamstring a few years ago - as in, 2 of the 3 top attachments tore and rolled up like window shades towards my knee - and I'm only now figuring out how to "run" without having my foot go numb as a hake. So....not my natural stride, and I have to concentrate a bit to not fall into that, but.....it's doable. Don't think I'll ever run another 10K.....but at my BMI/power:weight I was never that fast, anyway. Mostly I don't find that I have 2 hours to go for a bike ride NEARLY as much as I would like - and running is a ½ hr and a shower. Nearly 2 miles running is SUCH an improvement over anything I've managed in the past 6 years....I was both very tired and pretty pumped at the same time. OK, I guess I would like to be able to run a 5k at a reasonable pace - which for me would be 30:00. Probably wouldn't hurt if I dropped 30 or so pounds. I can almost do the distance.....but I'm running heavy. In the far distant past I had been complimented on how smooth I ran - for a big guy (I'm 5'-9"). It's a LOT harder to run smoothly now....and I'm weightier than I was 20 years ago. Can't run every day - but I'm trying to at least maintain it a couple days a week.
And....I left out that after my ride Sunday, I hand vacuumed the pool and mowed the lawn....
