Beckerhead 'Spartan' fitness MYB / BSP September

Yesterday I did the stair walk again, counted 156 stairs and about 12 platforms between sets.

MYB 32 + 3 = 35

Friday I managed a 2-mile walk to get dinner, and then a 6-mile trail ride on Saturday.

MYB 35 + 2 + 2 = 39

Today still has some time for me to get something else
 
Took a rail trail ride on my MTB this afternoon, 16.6 miles. What a gorgeous day. Wasn't planning on being out that long, but I didn't really want to stop pedaling - and the normally wet part of the trail was bone dry....

MYB: 13.4+8.3=21.7

Managed a 2.3 mile (mostly) run. It still don't feel good, but at least it ain't terrible. Not even post-run soreness.....all I would like to do now is get out more times a week. Work last week.....rrRRrr.....will hopefully not be the same this week.

Well, I finally got my act together and made it outside for my daily moving, tried a new route tonight and it was a good one. 4 miles, 8000 steps, 40 floors' of climbing, and all in about 70 minutes of nonstop walking. Best walk to date, and since it was a circular route I didn't have to turn around and do the same thing backwards.

MYB 39 + 4 = 43

bsp: +2 = 17 - pull ups and extensions. started to get a headache near the end of my sets, decided to call it a day.

bsp: 17 - was a muscle headache yesterday. My neck / back is all tight. I think I'm sick, but because of how awesome I've been eating lately I don't show too many symptoms. My body aches like crazy and I'm blowing out green stuff but other then that I'm fine lol. Stretched this morning instead of working out. Figure I'll take it easy the rest of this week and run / stretch. I'll get back to it next week.... or when I start feeling a little better.

Well, was on vacation the rest of this week, but I still managed to fit in at least one walk each day, as follows:

Tuesday: 2 miles to get coffee before leaving on the vacay.

Wednesday: 2 miles of hiking down to the beach and back.

Thursday: 4 miles on a scenic hike through Fort Worden on the WA peninsula. Cool stuffs.

Friday: 2 miles in the morning along the road outside the vacation cabin before coming home.

Saturday (today): 5 miles along the Cedar River trail, a personal best for distance without a purpose, but it wasn't the hardest due to being flat.

Overall MYB: 47 + 2 + 2 + 4 + 2 + 5 = 62

Today I built a deck. 8x10 so I can put my shed on it. The wife wants the shed moved to the other side of the yard. The other side of the yard has really messed up grading, so I had to build the deck. Being me, It had to be made so overkill that nothing short of a nuclear missal can move it. Its also weight rated for a few elephants. I decided to go with those screw in posts instead of yea old concrete footings. I swear I must of have walked around in circles for close to 8 miles today getting those things screwed in. Count in about 1000 hammer strikes with my axe and FuBar and that's like an extra 8 points each lol. Count in about 30 min of planks and elevations lol. Going to relax in the hot tub now and stretch it out!
 
Put in a bit over 5 miles of normal movement at work today (doesn't count but more than usual) and 12k steps, got home and put in 4.5 miles and another 10k steps on a brisk pre-dinner walk, which included a previously hidden-to-me staircase between roadways that was 130 stairs tall, hit it about 2/3rds through the walk and now my legs are quite sore.

MYB 62 + 4.5 = 66.5
 
Put in a bit over 5 miles of normal movement at work today (doesn't count but more than usual) and 12k steps, got home and put in 4.5 miles and another 10k steps on a brisk pre-dinner walk, which included a previously hidden-to-me staircase between roadways that was 130 stairs tall, hit it about 2/3rds through the walk and now my legs are quite sore.

MYB 62 + 4.5 = 66.5

Got home from work and realized I hadn't hit my floors climbed goal yet on my fitbit, decided to go back to the staircase I did on Monday. Took the direct route and ended up hitting exactly 3 miles and the staircase.

MYB 66.5 + 3 = 69.5

Got home from work and realized I hadn't hit my floors climbed goal yet on my fitbit, decided to go back to the staircase I did on Monday. Took the direct route and ended up hitting exactly 3 miles and the staircase.

MYB 66.5 + 3 = 69.5

So yesterday I did very little distance, just 1 mile to the grocery store.

Today I just did 1 mile as well, but it included the biggest outdoor staircase I've yet encountered, suggested to me by my supervisor who also likes to walk around the neighborhood. 375 stairs, or 25 floors total, which left me out of breath at the top with burning legs. Good times.

Finally managed to get home at a decent hour yesterday and went out for a run.

Got out for a nice jog this morning. Been a little while since I've seen the sun come up while running. Used to be a daily thing in the summer :(

myb: 6.5 = 55 - think i pushed it a little too far this morning seeing how far I could go until exhaustion. Pissed out a quart of blood. Time to go to the doctors lol. Read online it happens to runners trying to go further then before. The bouncing causes trauma to the bladder. Just to be on the safe side!
