on a serious note, i have yet to find a bigger beckerhead than him. time and time again i tried to steer him away from a bk-9 and go for a junglas...what does he do? he goes and buys a bk-9...and a bk-7. i forgot to bring the becker necker to show it to him earlier today so he said he'll just have to buy one then.

on that note, i've been advising him to get a bk-2...i hope he doesn't end up buying an esee-5 :foot:

Funny thing about the pads is that they were pretty much useless today. The ground was soft and it took no time to get the fire going. Though never know how one of our hikes may go, could wind up heading south.

Depending on what dealios are sent out to beckerheads soon, I may wind up with more than just a necker. That and what knives are released soon.

Acknowledgement one way or the other is also courtesy. I had seen the list with a granted number with 4 pending threads. I had read all the rules but seen some flexibility in applications.
I simply asked for that consideration since it had been given before, that's all.
The search parameters from what I read or tried did not save the stats. So I spelled them out as previous posters.

sure. within two weeks or so is the rules deadline, sometimes Moose's get busy (that's mostly his job ;>). some folx went a month when Moose was really busy there, and a couple got dropped in the cracks. i've stepped (in it) from time to time and helped out. mostly I try to keep the FAQs straight.

yup, we had some pushy people given consideration in the past and it's extra work keeping track so the rules got updated after the fact as i recall; the mods don't want to be running searches everytime someone asks. trying to stay with the rules makes it fair for everyone. reasonable requests are generally honored if possible, but that really can't be guaranteed.

sorry if you felt you weren't being treated fairly, that wasn't my intent. the rules were designed to be hopefully fair, have a little gateway to get in, and have evolved to fit the needs (we had folx asking for numbers WAY beyond the current count, and other antics - silly and hard to track).

you've got one more post to go as Moose pointed out, write up something, when you want, submit again, it'll be a go.
 
By the way, whats the deal with Beckerhead number 38, Amon? On the Beckerhead list it says, "...needs 4 started threads to be official." Its been like that for weeks now.

It might be confusing our newer members who thinks that you can get a number, when youre getting close to the required qualifications. Im just saying, either your on the list or your not. Keeps it clear for everybody.

Amon was a big contributor, and at the time his name was added, since he only had one post to go. I didn't have moderator powers at the time and couldn't edit the post.

Like Bladite said, sometimes things fall through the cracks. I'll fix it and reissue the number.

cccpull, one thread to go, is really close. Your number is there, and waiting, I hope you go for the #.

Well I appreciate both your replies since I didn't expect any response. My original thought on this group was verified. Great bunch of guys shooting the breeze enjoying knife and outdoor talk, sharing tips and info.

Thanks for the reserve on that number, obviously important to me.
