I have a cold steel katana machete that’s long like that. It has a stick tang in a crappy plastic handle. I’ve been thinking about cutting it off and trying to attach Becker scales.

I had just enough tang. I had to drill one handle hole

On one of the scales of mine it’s abbreviated with Northern Observation Post 3rd Infantry Division. I’m thinking about donating it to the Infantry museum at Ft Benning.
