I just snagged another BK1 "Brute" my favorite of all the Beckers...to bad Ka-bar will not be doing the Brute !!

Eliminating the Brute from the lineup makes no sense to me. Plus I wish they'd start putting those new ones on the street.

Ethan is around here sometimes. He loves talking shop!

He's been posting and answering questions regarding the San Mai and production versions of his new Necker, and announced the shipping of some other patterns. It sounds like the new Cro Van steel chosen for the production necker will be very comparable to the steel his Camillus made knives used. He also announced an appearance he has scheduled at SMKW just after Thanksgiving for Becker enthusiasts who might want to meet-and-greet.

Ethan and I just talked a few days ago, that was cool. Any special questions you want me to ask him (if he is ok with that) for next time we talk? ?

I'm glad to see they are bringing out the TAC tool again and the BK-2. Anybody know where they're made?

According to Ethan, everything but the San Mai limited edition necker is being made by Kabar here in the U.S. That L.E. necker is made from laminated stainless and carbon steels in Japan.

Thanks Codger, in that case I'm interested - broke, but interested. :o
