Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake, my granddaughter help my wife make. Haven't had one since I was a kid. My mom used to make them all the time. On page 718 of the 75th Anniversary Edition. Some good eatin':

It seems like I have always had a copy of Joy. We had a copy in the house growing up and sometime in my mid twenties I was settled down enough to get my own copy. 1995 Scribner edition page 610 Pizzas. i went with one big one instead of two littles. tomatoes, basil, garlic, mushrooms and spinach with Feta and Parmesan cheeses. and a BK21 to help with the size. :)

Oh man...those noodles sound great! I may actually have the ingredients for that.
 
Ok, I have a question. Why did they change from The Joy of Cooking to simply Joy of Cooking.

The wife made some oven fried chicken with cornmeal crust tonight from the Joy of Cooking. Damn good. Crappy photo though, dangit.

I went to the doctor Friday, about my back problems. He said I need to go on a diet. So mama cooked light. Put a damn salad in my lunch today too. Dang ol' caring woman. :D
