then they would be flushing all day and night, your water bill would triple!


Just ordered a set of izula micarta for my 14, I know ya have to trim them a bit to fit...but it's just a lil filing right? No major shaping? I like the looks of it, finally broke down and decided to try it out.
I may order some factory Becker micarta soon too, try it out and see if I can tell a difference or if I like it after some long-term use. The 10 looks odd without it's micarta.

Hey Thrill, let me know how it goes with the izula micarta. I've got a 14 on the way next week and I like the look of that micarta. I too have heard they don't fit quite right, so it would be nice to know just what it takes to get a good fit.

from what I've seen/heard the scales fit fine....but the inserts dont quite match up to the 14's tang holes. So you have to file the scale's inserts down a bit in the corners to make it snap inside the 14's tang. Don't look to major, I will let ya know though.
 
Its been a busy summer for me so far. (reason for me not being around here so much)

I did however get one of my little projects finished up. Quite a while ago I had picked up a svord peasant folder and I had messed it up something bad playing with it on the grinder so to salvage it I ground it down into a really small blade with a stick tang and threw a new handle on it. It was a fun project and more tricky that I was expecting. Here are some pictures if you guys are curious how it came out.

Next I'm hoping to finish my scales I'm making for my 11.

I'm diggin that yella Soddy in the background...... but good job salvaging that NS, looks pretty good for a salvage job!


So.... I went out in the shop with the intentions of just jimping my new 14.....well I got a lil carried away. I'm waiting for my new scales to get here before I take any pics though.

Which and why? Wanna pick up my first Case knife and I am torn.
 
depends on what you plan to do with it, but for me, I'd go with the slimline trapper.

I gotta say those things are ugly. But what you did with it really changed it for the better. That things pretty cool lookin. Have you found a good use for it.?
 
Dubz, that marbles is looking good. Now you have me thinking bout gettin one.

Grilling some pork chops tonight. They are looking tasty. Got my new central air installed today and was pretty pumped about it. I guess its actually more efficient than the old one, so maybe I'll save a bit of electricity.

It's always good to be number one. I'll put one in the freezer and see if my camera can capture the glaze of ice on the outside of a bottle.
 
Mountain place this weekend. I always enjoy planning what knives to bring, but there won't be much opportunity to use anything so I'm thinking it'll just be dear old Phat Bob.
