Man, where can I get that job? I used to dream of five-hour stops when I was over the road. I'm a voracious reader, and any excuse to stick my nose in a book was a valid one. I'm so glad I just stick to local driving these days. Long months of solo driving, insane hours, and over-caffeination made me weird and angry all the freakin' time. Totally changed my personality. When I quit, it was like I came back from the dead, or so my family and friends tell me. I miss the money, but not the life.

I'm weird and angry, and I dont even have a job excuse. Hmmmmm.

That's just part of being The Ogre lol

My wife is awesome. Just bought me a nice bamboo backed hickory longbow. 72# draw. Sure isn't effortless getting it strung and unstrung, but I'm excited to start hurling some arrows.

forecast calls for partly cloudy tonight.
about 8:00 or 8:30 it got pitch black out -- at 9:00 the wind machine fired up.
It is now pouring buckets -- good thing I mowed the lawn today!
(for tomorrow will be a sauna)

Gawd I pray the rain moves south! It's so dry here walking on the lawn sounds like you're walking on corn flakes!

Falcon.....that bow sounds sweet, pics?

I have pics up of my new 14 for whoever was asking yesterday.

Damn, that sucks. That's still a ways off. Hopefully they'll get it squared away sooner.

Did you get another 17? That's hardcore, Thrill.

I said: " 'Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter' is a netflix movie for sure."

Temporarily, it's for a friend. I HAVE thought about getting another 17 tho, JIC. I love that knife. Wouldn't mind having a spare/back-up.

That's a horrid joke Daiz. But funny! LOL

I can get you a number :p I just like to stay moving I guess and I would like to get back onto working normal hours again.

Thrill, thats a cool little knife. It looks like it could be pretty handy. Those 17's sure are growing on me the more I see them. I need to get my hands on one to check it out.

I've been trying like hell to re-learn grinding knives by going edge down like Mr. Fisk. Haven't put just a "killer" edge on one yet. I can't see the burr as well and just don't have the same touch. I give up. I went back to the way I learned, (Mike Stewart method) edge up, and am happy again. I put a hair popping convex on the Fiddleback in five minutes. Put a convex on the Condor Garuda and it's scary too. Old dogs/new tricks and all that. :D

How you liking that Garuda Trade? That thing looks good to me.

10 a.m. and already 98 degrees. This weather can kiss my backside.

It's a thin blade and very slicey. I like it. A cutter for sure. Real light and nimble with an ample handle. Different than any other knife I've owned really.
