Took my old ''250'' BK2 to the grinder today, not as cool/polished as Warriors 2 but It didn't end in disaster so I am calling it a Win. It sure touches up SHARP since Moose helped me reprofile the edge, thanks man.
 
You're welcome Thrill. You need to look into getting you a KME, with all the fun you had using mine, I had to get new stones.

the KME is high on my list, it's easy to spend all the hobby money on new blades instead of on tools/gear for your current blades. Kinda like it's easy to buy new guns instead of bulk ammo for the guns you already own LOL


I have really improved on my free-hand skills....I aint ''good'' as I want to be but I'm 500% better at sharpening now then I was a year ago.

Awesomeness. Free hand is important to learn, so you can whip an edge up on the fly, for home sharpenings, a guide system is the best.

Argue if you want, but guides will beat freehand any day.

I got my Lansky in yesterday. It works okay, but is pretty cheaply made. I was able to make my camp cleaver shave, and I sharpened it by hand. Figured it would be a good one to learn on. I'll spend some money one of these days for a nicer sharpener.

When you are ready for an upgrade, call Ron Swartz at KME and tell him I sent you there. Ron's a stand up guy, and has designed the best guide system, I have ever used.

I need to do a post on the KME, now that we are talking about them again........

About a $100 for the basic kit, but one of the benefits of the KME, is you can use any stone, or diamond hone, as long as its 1"x4". I have EZLap, DMT, and Nortons in my kit, and now, Ron will be selling some exotic stones as well.

You didn't hear this from me, because he hasn't fully tested them out yet, but can you say Asian DihydrogenMonoxide Stones? In 10k, 20K, and 50K grits too. Wo0T!!!

Yeah, that's Ron in the video. I gave him so much crap at Blade about his vids, sounds like he's teaching a high school shop class. :D

He originally made this for sharpening broadhead arrows, which are still the best for sharpening broadheads.

That stuff is a powerful solvent, and should banned. I hope you don't use it around the kids.
