Thank you sir. really looking forward to working again. Gets old sitting around all the time.

Thanks edctac. Man, the BK2 barely fits in the Lansky sharpener. I had to put masking tape on the blade, to keep the guide from slipping off. I did make the 2 shaving sharp though. Sweet. I need to leave the hair on my arms alone, haha. All spotty looking.

Go Dubz! Enrobe THE WORLD!!!

Good luck, Clich. If you bring your knife focus/obsession to the other parts of your life you'll be a rock star.
We'll hang onto your verb for ya.

Got caught in a passing thunderstorm on my bicycle. Waited out the worst of it under an I-95 overpass. Gorgeous sky afterward, but got plenty wet.

Way to man up clich. We'll all miss you I'm sure, but I for one am proud of you for recognizing, admitting and doing something about a problem area that is affecting your family life. You'll do well and be better for it.

Well I'm bummed. After playing the best game of the season Saturday. (In the tourney mind you) my boys baseball team suffered a season ending defeat tonight. It was tough as there coach to see the disappointment in there young faces. But they weren't the better team tonight. They had a 7 run lead and got cocky and lost by 3 points. I'm still proud as hell of the way they handled it. In the beginning of the season They took the field as boys. They left the field tonight with there heads high and as young men. I'm gonna miss them. I'll be ready for next season!

Guys,

Im taking this opportunity to say goodbye. I wont be visiting the forums anymore. In the last month, ive come to realize that while i enjoyed all of your company, I was using this place as a shelter and a hideaway from my real problems at home. Even though the worst has past, i cant bring myself to continue using something that i feel was a crutch during one worst times in my life. This was an addiction for me, like alcohol or drugs, and it dictated a lot of choices in my life. All the knives i have, like the bk1 and crimsons will be shipped out tomorrow, and that will be the last time i visit. I need to focus on my real life, and cant afford to be distracted further. I appreciate all of you guys, keep carrying on the becker name (mainly the bk5) and doing what makes this place so enjoyable for everyone. If you would like to respond to this, please do it via email as i wont be coming to this page again. Also PA slasher, please email me your address so i can mail you back your bk5 loaner. Take care guys. And please remember, family first. Its something i forgot, and im paying dearly for it.

Well, that kinda sucks. Bro, life is never all or nothing, at least it shouldn't be or doesn't have to be.

Sometimes it is. I took almost two years off from BFC once. Priorities took priority. No regrets.
I was spending too much time on FB a while back, using it as a procrastination tool as much as anything else.
So I deleted the account. Simplified my life immensely.

I understand what clich is going through big time. I spend way too much time on the computer/forums. Sometimes I'm on the forums so much, it becomes my reality more than real life. That's not a good thing. I'm a person that picks up habits very easily. I didn't want a computer, and didn't have one for years, just because I knew I would be on it all the time. My boss offered me one for free, which I initially refused, but ended up giving in. And, of course, I was on it too much. I used to be a very active person, but not anymore. I don't blame that entirely on the computer, but it didn't help. I feel sorry for kids these days. All they know is XBox, TV, and computers. You hardly ever see kids playing outside anymore. What a shame.

Todd,
Sorry to hear how your team's season ended. But, in the end, the better team wins. I remember some staggering defeats during my little league days. We were a good team and not used to losing. But, losing is all part of the growing process. A hard but necessary leason learned.
BTW.......I absolutely love the knife!!!!!!!
All the best

Whoever invented summer colds was pure evil. I never expect to feel this knocked out when it's 98 outside.

I totally agree with losing being part of the growing process. and the boys handled it well, they will bounce back. I guess I wanted to win just as bad or worse than them. one of the boys on the team had to have a very serious hip surgery a few weeks ago. will be in a wheel chair pretty much rest of the summer. he still showed up at the games in his uniform last couple of weeks to root for the team. wheel chair and all. This kid has had enough struggles in his life already at 7 than most people will have most of there lives even before his surgery. I really wanted to put a throphy in that boys hands, but it just wasnt ment to be. but hey. we ended up in the final 4 out of 12 teams. so thats still a pretty damn good season! especially for the under dogs! which we where! we'll get em next year!

Oh! and by the way Balding! really glad you like the knife. Be sure to post some pics of the cow pants you make for it!!
