BeckerWest!! November 13th-15th Fall 2015

I might have some questions, I have no clue what is typical to bring, and what setup the weekend is going to have so I know what gear/tools to bring. Getting the first-time jitters and it's still a few weeks out.

JD, me, and I think Bill all have pop up canopies.
There's usually a few tables.
Sounds like the burn ban is lifted. That's a plus.
There will be a grill for the campfire and a spit.
I'm not sure if we're doing any group meals, so just bring stuff to eat.
Whatever you need to be comfortable at camp for the weekend.

Bring weather/temp appropriate clothes and sleep gear/shelter. Bring knives(all kinds). Beer, alcohol, guns and ammo, more knives, a chair, $$$ if you got extra, and food :) The location is an easy drive on a pretty well maintained gravel road that shouldn't challenge most street legal vehicles.

So you're not mad at me for not being able to come for the past few times? Life sucks sometimes. I was fortunate to be able to have that weekend off. We're pushing out a lot of work and we only are able to have one weekend off each month for the next two months. It's never been easy missing a gathering.

Good onya for getting yourself to a Gathering, KingMC. I had a little trepidation when I went to my first (with my kids!) a couple years ago.....and it was totally unfounded. I think the BK&T community as a whole has shown itself to be a welcoming one, and if I had the time (and money) to travel I'd go to all of them. And while I haven't met any West Coast 'Heads, I get the feeling the Gathering's gonna be the same sorta stuff as we do here: good food, good beer, good BS'ing around the fire and LOTS of sharp things to play with - as well as great folks who won't bat an eye if you're walking around with several blades on your person. Have fun!
 
The standard grill and spit, campfire set is not available to us this go around. If anyone has one they wanna bring go for it.

Regarding what to bring, bring everything and anything you want or need to spend a few nights in the woods, some good suggestions have been made already. pay particular attention to your shit kit, I recommend baby wipes. Bring guns if you want to shoot. No dogs. I'll have my SBR's and suppressor's, bring some .22LR and 5.56 if you wanna shoot those.

For any new folks, there is a Ray's food place market 7 miles from the camping area so don't despair if you've forgotten something food wise. Focus on your sleeping and clothing gear. and even then someone will have brought extra. Expect rain.

BeckerWest is sorta like sex, you can't expect top quality your first time out.

No man, apologies if I gave you that impression. I have a rule about BeckerWest, well two rules actually,
1) What happens at BW stays at BW
2) As long as I am there I'm gonna have a good time.

I'm thinking about making and bringing one maybe two sheaths with to the gathering for the trading table. What would you guys be interested in?
