I ROFL'd when I saw the leaf blower - I've been using my Ryobi to keep punky wood burning in my firepits for years....looks like epic fun in a beautiful setting. Thanks for the photos! There were a few firsts:
My first flint and steel fire. (It was amazing!)
An Army guy got beat out by an Air Force guy in the BB gun shootout.(Yeah, it happened!)
A leaf blower becomes the King of Tools for the weekend.(who knew?)
Breakfast burritos from the camp chef (why didn't we figure this out sooner?)
Natty Lite makes a great target to shoot at.(nuff said)
I had a great weekend with everyone. Thanks to everyone who put this together and KA-BAR for the prizes and swag!
Hey Brome,Reminder that I won't be showing up until Friday, hopefully mid-dayish.
Travel safely!

Was it Hill People Gear? I saw one in camp by them.Hey Brome,
Could you remind of the brand name of the pack (small ruck sack) you have?
Thanks
Tom H
Excellent. Thanks Bill and Brome! I really liked that lumbar bag. Going shopping now. Haha.Good call, Tom!
My chest pack, or "man bra" is by HPG, Hill People Gear (Thanks, Bill!). But be warned, these days they seem to be permanently sold out, since they became very popular in the last 5 yrs or so.
But my lumbar bag, is by Mountainsmith. The Day model.
Mine is heavily modified, and the new one is a bit different, but basically the same.
My favorite pack for most situations, except winter if I need to carry more gear...
They have changed over the years, but the bay is a good place to find older models, if you don't like the new one.
And get the Strapetts.
(And I hope I am not breaking any rules posting those names...)
Enjoy!
Brome
