Beefy folder help

Yeah but its 5 inches long, its light and thin sure but is quite large in the pocket. Perhaps it should just be considered as only long and not beefy - just threw it out ther as an option.

What kind of knife is that in the middle of your keychain?

I'm partial to the Zero Tolerance 0200. It's just as good as the 0300, 0301, and 0302 in my opinion. Its deploys alot faster too and depending where you get it its about half the cost.

I am really interested a xm-24, and a smf with a smooth ti back, and a tanto blade. but both are impossible to find for less than msrp :/

Here's some BEEF!:thumbup::thumbup::)

A .218" thick blade of D2 as only Bob Dozier can do. Frame looks to be about the same thickness, and the tab-lock liner is ~.100" thick.

The three choices I would consider in recent production folders that just came out, ranging from about $150 to $200 for these. For me, of these three, for a hard use knife I'd favor the Benchmade.

* The new Benchmade Adamas 275. A tough Shane Sibbert design, 3.82" D2 blade that is 0.160" thick, VERY beefy!
* The new Zero Tolerance/Hinderer collab (based on the Hindered XM18), there's a ZT 561, and a 551. Made with the Elmax super steel, about 3.5" or 3.75" long, depending on model.
* The new(ish) Hogue EX01 folders. These are Elishewitz designs, come in 3.5" and 4" blades, 154cm, super-strong locking mechanism and wonderful high-quality micarta or G10 scales.

after a member here recommended the ex01 a few days ago i bought one ha. i have carried it for 4 days now and i love it. great blade. great lockup, but the best part is that it opens super quick and closes just as quick which is what i look for in a edc.

i am still looking into 3.75 zt 561 and i will check out the Benchmade Adamas 275 thanks for the suggestion

The "Beefiest" folder in my collection is the Aaron Frederick VBSS Rescue. I really like this knife!

neat, i like the looks a lot. i will def check this out.

it seems near impossible to actually get my hands on one in NJ at any shop. everywhere i called had never heard of it ha. and i can't track down any video reviews on it either :/

i really think i wanna try to hold out til the 561 comes out, the 0200 is great, but i think a 0300 is enough for me until the 0561 comes out.

I just got a Three Sisters Forge Beast and it is a solid knife and very light weight. Same overall length as my Caly 3.

I've got one I'm probably going to get rid of. It's actually TOO beefy for me. It's a Beretta Harsey linerlock folder. The thing is a moose. It has a 4.25" S30V blade with G10 scales and is 9.50" OAL with a weight of 6.5 ounces. I think it's out of production at this point.

You still have the Beretta Harsey folder?
