beefy folders!!

my favorite big folder is the G10 Spyderco Police, but my favorite beefy folder is quickly becoming the DPx Hest/F Milspec (gasp )

My favorite EDCs generally are small (2.5" - 3" blades under 4oz. total weight) AND beefy with simple lines, low parts count, and with some character (although not "tactical" or scary) and a refined/close tolerance build. Acute grinds in hollow or FFG, preferably Ti frame-locks, with better than average or even a high end PM super steel...currently the Spyderco Techno meets most of those req's for me.

It's not exotic, but have found nothing I like better than the Techno, except some Steve Karroll customs, but many more $$ and harder to find in my preferred config.

My perfect fantasy EDC folder would be the Techno with a CRK Insingo blade profile in the same 4.5mm width at the spine and some simple ball milled, stone washed scales...just LOVE modified wharnies with a shallow radiused belly.

Been crushing on the Cold Steel Spartan, felt it a lot of times now and am going to buy it come the end of this month.

Nice looking ZTs dabble. What models? I've been looking into purchasing my first.

BTW...another Chicago knife guy here. Always good to see neighbors on here

I bought this when CS was closing them out. But I use a grivory version around the yard all the time.
The knife waves open without even trying.

Here's two more of my favorites. The Buck CSAR-T and an older Strider AR
Although I didn't originally like the Buck CSAR -T, it's grown on me.
