Been away....but, Not anymore.......

good to hear from you E.
hope you have fun in Vegas, definitely looking forward to the spring thing at your place.

Hang in there man. My parents were together for about 20 years when they split. I think they were better off for it.
Good Luck!

I'm a therapist by trade, and break-ups are never easy, and there's no magic words to make the pain go away. Wishing you the best.

hey Mr Becker!

glad to have you back, now get reading and play catch up :) we've been bad mouthing you :)

Glad to have you back. Have a great time playing with sharp things and things that go boom this weekend. Its good manly therapy:D

Good to have ya back chief!
I hope you can make BeckeWest this April!

Thanks for even bothering to worry about us enough to check in during your time of duress. That speaks greatly of your character, as if that was ever even in question. Glad to see you around Ethan.

Completely agree with this statement. Thanks for revisting this tiny place on the web, Mr. Becker, but the first one to think about is not us but yourself now. Take care and be well.

I've been there before, too, so I can understand the need to get some reflection/healing time.

Though I haven't really chatted with you before, I look forward to some good discussions.

Keep your chin up, pour a dram, and lean on us for some cheering up.

What a great crew.......I am touched beyond words at your kindness and supprt...... BTW, I AM planning around Becker West....

All Best....

Ethan

Im sorry about your situation E. I just finalized my divorce, and fought for custody of my children. I know what your going through. If I can help in any way, please do not hesitate to ask.

Nice to have you back Ethan. Sorry to hear about the split.

Christine and I are looking forward to seeing you this spring.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Looking forward to seeing you around here. I'm new to BK&T but from what i've seen you've got yourself a very supportive, encouraging and all around great community here.

Sorry to hear about your situation but I am glad that you are back on the forum. It is rare to interact with a designer or manufacturer on a forum (except in the knife industry perhaps). It is priceless.
I am new to the forum but not to the Becker family. My mother was a new bride in the late 1940's, and being Italian, knew only how to cook in that fashion. She married a guy from Alabama who had a bit of a problem digesting rich, Italian food. She bought Joy of Cooking and used the recipes to create meals that he could eat
until he became more used to Italian food. My mother still uses the book today.
I had wanted a BM&T knife for a long time but for one reason or another had never purchased one until I stumbled on the Becker forum here by accident. The friendly and helpful people here convinced me to purchase one, or several, Beckers.
Well, a longwinded way to say, "Welcome back. Glad to see you."

Mr.Becker,

I'm very sorry to hear of your break-up. I know how it feels myself, having been there. My grandfather always told me, "Pain is but one of many parts of life. You can't run or hide from it. You face it down, beat it, and walk away. You go on. It will get better." It makes you re-examine life. There are always losses in life, ups and downs,
but even when things are at their bleakest, if you search hard enough, you will find something to make you smile, to make you laugh. :-) I found something that makes me smile when I am done, it's a simple thing..I pick my my Bk-11 and a block of good carving wood and I whittle. One afternoon, while waiting for my wife to get home
from work, I whittled an entire 2x4 (About six ft long) with that knife to slivers. When she came home, I had finished the whittling and had fallen asleep. She came up on the porch and called for me. "Hey darlin!" I called, roused from my nap. She jumped. "Holy sh@t! A talking pile of wood shavings!" :-D

My point is, you have done alot of good for alot of people, and your products have made alot of people happy. You have friends all over the place. :-) Winters don't last forever, and springs comes right after :-).
