The beer looks like bog water!!! Gotta love that natural flavor…..swamp juice!! sorry, looks like water and potting soil to grow something in my raised beds. I like a good lager, I’ve tried Guinness stout and Founders breakfast stout, too strong for me.

If you want to try a dark color again, look for schwarzbier styles of beer.
It translates to black beer from german, but they are Lagers.
So, fermented cooler has a bit softer, crisper flavors.
Roasty, but way less than a porter, stout, or brown ale.

Samuel Adams used to make a easy to find version, maybe called black lager?

Sammys Oktoberfest is one of the earlier better mass produced Oktoberfest (in the USA) that taste pretty good. Sammys generally makes ok tasting beers.

They are not as over the top, like A Lot of beers today, but 30 years ago, they were exciting
