Before carrying a ESEE knife i carried a....

mostly Cold Steel SRK CV, but others as well..

its not just esee i have to give everything i own the same chance and time, others work better in different circumstances..

basically it boils down to, its just a knife......

With an ex wife and two young sons....my most valued edc is a credit card....gets me out of more binds than anything....one of these days i may just use the corner of it to slice my own neck...lol...jk....

A Casee XX Skinner. Carried it for over a decade, until the blade was sharpened down to a paring knife. An ESEE replaced it.

I don't need a bunch of knives. I just need a knife that works.

I usually carry a Spyderco Native; a Case or Buck pocketknife and a leatherman multi-tool; preferably the Charge TTI model. Last summer I mostly used the Izula & Spyderco. I wore the RC-3 or RC-4 when in & around the garden. But the Esee Lite Machete almost got it's first trophy, a big black snake.

I've carried most of the usual suspects; Buck, Gerber(Pre-1990),Spydies. But even today a CS SRK still rides in my Jeep along with a SwampRat HRLM. Some of the oldies are still goodies!

Wow, I carried a small Sebenza longer than any other single knife. Now I have used and Emerson more than any other folder. It is my current EDC. Fixed blades....man once I found this place I traded a lot of stuff around.

These days I'm all about the most bang for my buck. I don't see that ever changing. So I've got a used JK kephart and stacks of Old Hickory knives for deer duty. The RTAK II and Ontario 5 will be gone as soon as I get my self in gear.

I used to carry a SOG folder, it got stolen from an employee. Then carried a Benchmade and a Spiderco Delica.
