BEGG KNIVES lOOKING FOR AN APPRENTICE!!!!

How much I wish I could apply.... Married with kid and a house in Ca. What a fantastic opportunity. Your offering to the community of people that love knife making in the first place is so much better than finding some college kid that will do whatever to make a buck... then move on to what they want to do... is truly impressive.

Good luck, hope you find the right person. If they don't work out, give me a shout!

no but I can provide a cooler and some coloring books!:D

Good enough, Im your guy! :D

It does sound like a great opportunity for somebody. Imagine learning from one of the best in the industry. It could be the kick off for a long career in knives and high tech machine skills.

Damn....I've got expiriance on CNC machines (G code), amature expiriance in knifemakeing, and a big desire to do something cool. Too bad that desire led me to the military a few months ago. I leave for basic in less than 3 weeks.

ecoing a few other people here: I would have so been there tomarrow if it wernt for.......

We are doing initial phone interviews this morning, if you haven't gotten in touch with me, you have till Friday. After which we will no longer accept applications.

We have about 10 seriously interested parties!! we are thrilled!!

Don't you dare let me keep you from doing anything that would be this amazing for you. I don't want to be resented in the future for holding you back!:( This would be a dream opportunity for you and if you have the chance I will insist that you do it.:) Just remember, I am always right!;)

JT you have the perfect girl :D

Well it wont work out for me. I'm going to go cry in a corner now. But good luck! I am sure you two will have no problem finding someone who appreciate this chance.

I think the initial phone interviews are over. We are ready to move to phase two of the application process, and I am really happy to say we have about three very strong candidates!!!

As soon as we get their "homework" assignment, we can move to the next step.

I am hoping to be able to announce our apprentice by the end of the month, if not sooner.

So, how is your new guy working out? Hopefully, you got the right candidate in from the start....

Actually, we are still interviewing. We have someone flying out in two weeks for a week long test drive in the shop.

What a sweet opportunity. I just asked the wife what she would think about moving there (of course the opportunity is filled by some one else). She said something about heck no, and something else about all that money is student loans paid for law school etc.

I'm glad y'all found someone that looks promising. I thought about posting my interest, but at the age of 16 and with college classes plus my high school work (I'm home schooled) I didn't think I was the best candidate for you. Besides, I'm not exactly a professional quality knife maker just yet. :)
Hope the new guy works out very well for ya Todd.
