I kinda get the feeling we missed some good stuff. Like how did you get all the grinds on all the spikes the same? What was your technique for the texturing?

I don't suppose you'll be bringing this to Atlanta? I'd love to see it in person.

Thanks for the WIP

He CNC'ed almost all of it. you did not see the cleaver in the box already done behind the mill?:D

I'm impressed by the process, but I don't understand the product. What is is supposed to be used for?

In my mind this has three parents, an axe, a machete, and Rambo/his knife in the first movie or two.

Todd or Tanya will chime in for sure but he built the knife for a build off competition. What is it for? I see it as his artistic impression of a cleaver with a lot of trench knife influence with a lot of Todd's flavor from embellishment he does on his normal blades.

Tanya, awesome coverage of his work, and Todd, awesome cleaver. I would love to bring that thing to work and toss it around. Not at anybody, I already walk around the shop with a knife in hand for no reason.

Anything I didnt get a chance to post is covered in the videos on youtube, so you can catch up there! The spikes were done on the mill...Todd wanted to originally grind each one...but realized there was no way he could safely do it, and would not get the uniform perfect grind on each spike.

You are correct gixxer...this knife was built for a five day buildoff competition against another maker. Todd always uses the buildoffs to do something wild, unexpected and out of the ordinary. Whats it for?? paper weight, door stop, tomato crusher, nasty mother in laws, door to door sales ppl. and the walking dead of course.
