The Porchenberg tale of Humpy Lumpback predates the Brothers Grimm Rumpelstiltskin by several hundred years....this FACT**

which clearly shows the later version of the character using a Cosgrove Whirlwind spinning wheel with patented bobbin threader and double sprung returning treddle.
These revolutionary adaptations didn't appear until the mid 1800s... Humpy Lumpback is a darker more medieavil character.
