Brass bolsters and cover pins with Boxwood covers.
No fancy filed backspring or bug, but it shore do cut. Carries well loose in the bottom of RFP, too.

Closed long is only just 4.625 inches; same as a Old Timer 858. Not "too big" nor "too small" ... just right.

Your version of a Goldilocks knife is a bit bigger than mine! I roll in the 3.75-4” neighborhood. But I sure do love to check out all the fine French knives - and I love that so many have brass bolsters.
