Have you ever done any scales for the Spyderco Mule? Would love to have you make one or two sets for me.

Carl

I am buying an Alan Folts Inertia this week and i was wondering if you could do some custom scales and some touch up work on it. I would probably be sending it to you within two weeks from now if that is something you could do.

Black and Orange Carbon fiber with G10 layering.
Polished Washer and worked detent for nice flipping improvement.

Sir. You never placed on order. Made a payment. Nor, did I give you a dead line.
I am choosing not to do business with you due to your bossy tone in the emails.
You asked if I could send you a picture of over flow from my bulk orders.
I did finish a scale for you regardless on Saturday and attempted to send a file with picture.
Anyway I am not wasting my breath. You have been placed in SPAM.
I have alot of friends on folks on here I help out with my hobby. For the first time since I started playing with knives I will pass on this.
You are hardly a participating member and if you start being rude and typing in size 20 font and capital letters. Others will get the wrong picture as well.
As it says 3-5 days if you pick a material and place an order. Any order. You never did, so even a week or two waiting is nothing compared to many wait times.
There are dozens of guys like me out there. You will find what you want.
Thank you.

Matt , Where is my scale please . Over 2 weeks is long enough . No Pics , No product .

D.S. I will shoot you an email back tonight thank you for the email.
Matt

Sent you an e-mail regarding micarta scale for my ZT0550. Thanks.

Hi Matt, sent you an email the other day, may not have gone through. Do you still have the black and white rattlesnake material? And could some of that be made into a set of pm2 scales?
Thanks Matt, I'd love to do business with you, your work looks great.

Hey man, take a step back and realize that people have other jobs to attend to. The whole production assembly doesn't just halt because you may or may not have ordered a scale. There are clearly some misinterpreted ideas as of what was supposed to be going on.

I've been working with Matt as well, both of us being very busy in our personal lives and then working on knife related jazz when we get time. Matt has always responded to any email questions I had and was always very easy to work with.

Think too, that there's a large difference in ordering a production scale from BHQ or another source - and ordering a custom scale.

Also... In terms of timeline.. TWO WEEKS and you're getting all fussy? I was on a pre-order list for 18 months and I don't think I sent a single email...I just waited my turn. To top that, 18 months is NOTHING to wait for a custom.

Yeah yeah yeah, backtrack to all we are buying is a scale. I've had my dealings with Matt, and I can't complain. He's a straight shooter. Hopefully I can order from him again in the future.

PS- I hope you got yours worked out. Just wanted to point out that two weeks is pretty quick to start with the fire and brimstone on the guy's Knifemaker's Custom Shop corner.

Thank you for dropping by.
Lol. That guy vanished. I politely turned it away.
I am not perfect but I do my best and I also do favors. I accepted two custom jobs last wednesday and promised I would spend all nite Sunday getting that finished for X mas eve delivery and that is exactly what I did.
Check your email for tracking buddy. I also want to buy your membership back here again. You deserve it and you have been a good friend.
And also let me know if you would settle for a gold membership, I think I can swing that a week from today when my order payments come through. Unless your not really on here any more, but that is up to you pal.

That reminds me , I need to check and pay my membership before it goes sour!

Alright,

I got the knife in hand and it hasn't left my pocket since I got it. The work is superb. By the nature of the orange/black carbon fiber, they're thicker than the originals, about 1.5x, but it feels solid in the hand. Edges are well chamfered, and fit the contours of my hand very well. The texture on the scales is superb. It feels glossy, but not slick enough that it moves in my hand. The fit and finish is on par with what the stock knife had, if not better.

The ONLY downside is the time it took. I'm not upset about it by any means, and I know that Matt went through a lot, but originally he quoted me two months, and it turned out to be ten. Again, he kept me well informed throughout the process, and I understand where I stood on his list, but in the interest of fairness, I had to bring it up.

I'm superbly happy with how the scales turned out. I would be willing to work with him again in the future.

Thanks alex for the review. Dont forget to mention I did the work for free to compensate. It stressed me out alot. And I mean alot falling behind earlier this year.
Im happy you stuck with me through that time span. And im happy it payed off for us both. I learned how to treat someone properly in return and it is the reason even after your wait your starting another project with me now.
It is a great feeling to have nothing to catch up on. So much easier.
Now take the the money I did not charge you for the work and send me another knife.

AK 47 info is sent. Decide on the material and I can do that one at my other shop on the mill. For this one we are looking at a week in my hands to properly do all the milling and also keep is as closely matched to the factory handle as possible with the exception of color.
Matt

I sent you an email about ak47 scales
