Belt pouch survival kit

Any good tips to not get my shirt cut (so my wifes stays happy :D )

Cross-draw carry works pretty well for me.

Plus, if you're carrying a handgun and belt pouch as Sicily has pictured, it helps to balance it out on the belt, while simultaneously alllowing a left hand draw, if necessary.

Crossdraw is what I also use. This one works well for me. The one Bryan is opting isn't very comfortable for me, at least not for my shirts....:D

Almost all carry options work, just not the one Bryan is doing.....

Yea as for the putting the knife away and stuff I hold my knife in the ice pick grip when putting it away and that seems to work good for me.
Cross draw would be a cool way too. Good thinking.

Bryan,

Here is mine. Nothing fancy, just a penrith kit (unmodified), an emergency bag (I'd rather have a Heatsheet, but it doesn't fit), a knife, multi-tool (I usually carry an SAK), a lighter, and the obligatory photon light. The pouch came from K-mart ($5). The ATAX is next to the pouch for reference size.

Paul the pouch I use is a compass/first aid pouch from Blackhawk ind.
mneedham Thanks for sharing your pics. I really like to see what others
out there in forum land use. It gives me ideas and others too on how better to prepare for some un seen mishap. We see this happen every year. If some one would have had just a little kit like this than there mishap sure could have been easyer to deal with. Like that famliy that went to get a x-mas tree and was lost for several days. How nice it would have been to start a fire and sit next to that fire while they were in that covert. What a comfort that would been to have heat. Let alone some light. The dancing of the flames is just awesome:D
Wether it be a little tin or whats in your pockets, a belt pouch Or some items
wraped up in a bandanas and tied to a stick and carried over your shoulder like some pictures of the old time hobos carried. One of my aunts told a story about when she was younger they lived near a railroad track and she saw a hobo get off the train walk up to the house and he asked if she would be kind enough to make him a sandwich. My aunt did and he went back and hopped on the train that had stopped and eat his sandwich. She said he carried a little cloth of material tied to a stick and that she could still see him walking away. She told me that many years ago. I always wondered what he carried in kit

Well take care all,
Bryan

You might add some basic shelter protection in your kit - maybe a trash bag or plastic sheeting. You might also add some sterile gauze pads for first aid.

Sicily02 looking the contents over I see you killed a SAK to retreive the Pliers & scissors .... did the SAK fail you ?

Texastonydobbs no that sak was just and extra that I did not mind taking it apart.
