Belt Pouches

BPP_M_BLK_Web.jpg

I have a kit I made from a Bagmaster belt pistol pack. It was a lousy holster but works great for carrying all the necessities. I strapped my Sierra cup to the outside so I even have a water/cooking container in (on) this small kit. Carries things like:

SAK OH Trekker
Fire kit (ferro, fatwood, tinder, Bic)
Yard bag and HeatSheet
Basic first aid
Duct tape
Wire
Compass/whistle
Signal mirror
Foil
Oven bag and water tabs
Silk bandana
Couple tea bags
Couple CountyComm coin cell flashlights
Fenix E01 with spare AAA battery

And a few other little odds and ends.

great looking kits guys... i carry a belt pouch/kit sometimes while out in the woods...

bushman-- i really like the looks of that pouch... nice little kit too..:)

Fleece pouches are available in several sizes from hunting retailers like Cabela's. They are most often if some camo pattern.

I know countycomm.com sells a number of pouches there. I've thought about trying one,but I'm concerned they are too bulky.

FLIX: do you have a link to one of the mentioned fleece pouches? I have checked cabelas and couldn't find any.

not fleece lined....I said fleece type material...It is for hunting and needs to be at least semi silent when squeezing through branches. Cordura nylon and the likes are extra noisy.

evbouret, I couldn't find a link to Cabela's that described the pouches in enough detail to be sure. I have a couple of various sizes. The fabric tends to be popular with bowhunters because it tends to be quieter for putting on a sneak.

I'll see if I can dig up a brand name for you to go on.

I use a Maxped M2 for a small belt kit:

Emergency space blanket
Compass
Small fire steel (striker)
Gerber Diesel
Rite-in-the-Rain journal
Pencil
Flashlight
Paracord

This, plus my Army canteen and F1 makes for a great little day kit.

Hayseed,

That's a beauty! I see the WLC logo, but can't read the maker, who made it?

Thanks

I setlled for one of these

its cordura type fabric but its small enough I can put it in the middle of my back and nothing should brush against it. Big enough to hold a bunch of stuff too.

Nice choice.

Anyone else with pics and suggestions? I'd like to set something like this up for times when me and my son just go for a quick jaunt instead of carrying my Fatboy Jumbo, which I normally use if we're gonna be out for awhile.

I like the look of the M-4 but I'm not sure if it'd be too big.

That is the big brother to the one I carry my digital camera in. I found my pouches. The ones that I have that have the fleece-type fabric on the outside are made by Fieldline. They are available all over.
