Belt sanding (finally!)

Last night I think I saw something called the KMG for over a thou and thought that was the Grizzly.

I ordered the Delta last night.

I can't believe I took two months off the Redhawk. Starting to think the Redhawk is one of those dreams that will always get shoved aside for reality.

...just remember......not everything in the house will need sharpening...it's ok if the spoons and forks remain dull.... :D :p

I like a sharpened edge on a spoon. that way you can eat a steak with one hand (and one utensil) and leave the other hand free to strop some steel. or whatever the case may be.

heck, sharpen a spork and you can throw away all your other eating utensils!

When I got my first three khuks, there were many trees on my acre that needed felling. After a while, my wife said, "That's it; no more trees. You've cut enough."

"But these trees needed thinning," I said. "So the other's can grow."

"They're thin enough."

Well, I finally got my belt sander. Nothing elaborate. Just a cheap harbor freight 1x30". I then got the belts recommended in Dan's website.

Nam,
Could you post where you found the belts that Dan recommended? My wife told me I am getting a Harbor Freight 1X30 for Father;s Day. I have been checking on the web but have had no luck finding the recommended belts. All I have found was the 180 grit, looks like almost everyone has that one but the others???

You should ask Dan. I'm sorry, I have thrown away the reciepts! Dan might even know a better place. :p
