Actually i did it, so this is not a really very well done job, the finishes aren't perfect (so do my english). Difficult without the right tools, i never done something like that before.
My opinion is the 943 has the most beautifull blade of all EDC i have seen, the handle is neutral and sober and i think it's 'correct', but aluminium scales are just so cheap and savourless.
The mix modern carbon fiber / classic wood is lovely (especially cocobolo) (like the 482 Megumi) so i tell to myself "let's do your unique 943", and there's no comparison with the original.
CNC machined scales G10, alu, mircata, even stuffs like limited customs titanium for hundreds dollars and so on are nice okay, finishes perfect, strong, but it remains a chinese guy pressing a CNC button hundreds times a day.
