I've been eyeballing that one.... Axis lock, flipper, deep carry, 3" ish blade length....Whats not to like.
I think thinning out the scales would be the call, it's about the same thickness as an SNG.

I preordered one of these earlier from, well, I'd say exactly where, but I'm not sure if they're a dealer registered with the forums or not. So let's just say a very popular and reputable dealer that had a deal too good to pass up. Now the waiting and chewing of fingernails begins.

Got one on Pre order too And I cant wait and yes those are the out of box scales its a EDC classic in the making. Ive seen a few reviews form youtubers that got first run 300sn and they had nothing but praises about the knife most comparing them to the new spyderco flipper that cost alot more, but im sure the spyderco flipper is made from different materials. The last knife I can rember getting all excited about getting was the mythical ZT777, but the benchmade 300sn looks to be the real deal and I can see it going down as a EDC legend.

Not sure if they're a sponsor here but I always check cutleryshoppe for all spyderco and benchmade stuff. Jeff's prices are pretty damn tough to beat.

WOW edc legend, you guys are making me get all emotional.LOL I hope your right and THANKS for the comments.

I have a partially serrated version on order. I'm not sure when that version is due to come out. Soon hopefully. I know serrations aren't popular with some, but I like them.

I emailed Benchmade to see about a black model. Heres the reply:
I am unaware of a black coated version of the 300 becoming available at this time. I would however suggest waiting to see what new product are revealed in mid- late January before making a decision.

It is a great looking knife - very nice design! I think the flipper is much more suitable for the axis lock than are the assisted open versions.

I bet this will be a very popular design

I think your right. I am going to wait for a LE in M390, you know it will happen. NO BLACK BLADES PLEASE!

Whether you choose to believe this or not, when I helped out at the DDR/HTM booth at Bladeshow 2012, a couple of the Benchmade folks came over to see Darrel's knives. I made small talk with one of the guys that was playing with the Gunhammers. I say to him, "You guys need to come out with a flipper knife that has an Axis lock." I could see that sparkle in his face like a light bulb just went off.

Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of those scales or the execution of the design. However, it's nice knowing that they may possibly include more flippers in their future line up.

I just want some black scales. not a coated blade. I would love thinned down scales and a 3.5 inch blade.

Black dye should help anyone that isn't a fan of the scales. Do a search for details.

Has anyone taken a picture or seen one that shows how the flipper goes around the lock bar? I know there has to be a channel that probably extends to the edge of the handle when the blade is closed. Just wondering if someone could verify that is what they did. Pics or a vid would be even better.

I'm more partial to earth brown S35VN Para 2. Not a big fan of flippers or the two-tone scales on the 300sn. The 300sn seems a bit thick for such a small knife does it not?
