It looks identicall to my 908 Stryker, but the handle material looks different. Definately nice looking

I really like the way this looks. 3" blade, 2.18 oz, and great steel. Kind of reminds me of what happens when 707 and 940 pair up and have a child. I like the look of gray G10, plus it won't scratch up like like the anodized aluminum of its parents. Wonder how it feels in hand.

That indent is for the thumb stud. Without it, the knife wouldn't close.

Some of Benchmade's prices don't make sense to me.

The 485/581/586 are all around the same price featuring G10 and M390. The 808 Loco is G10 and S30v and is $230. The shot show Rukus is G10 and S30v at $200 for a LE model (overpriced to me). The Rift is G10 and 154CM for Almost as much as the M390 knives listed before. Custom version comes out with a slight upgrade to the steel still around the same price as the M390 knives listed. The Contego is a beast of a knife and has CPM M4 and costs less than the rest.

The problem for me is handle comfort. I really need about a 4" handle to get a secure, comfortable grip on a folder. As much as I like the 485 . . . and I really DO like it . . . it's just a little too short at 3.73" closed. (For comparative purposes, the Sequel 707 is 3.80" closed. And I refuse to tolerate anything shorter than my Sequel.)

.06 of an inch shouldn't be a game breaker. If you don't like it send it to me. I always carry two knives, I'll give it a good home.
