Benchmade 530/531

I’m more of a 530 fan myself (love the spearpoint)... They are one of the lightest and thinnest blades I own and make for good slicers.. The CF models from REI are top notch.

Just received my 531 recently. I'd kill for a blade in S30v or above- I had to resharpen after a couple minutes of shaving rough edges off of plastic boxes.

The 531 is a near perfect EDC knife, at least for the work I do. It's flat, light, good blade length, good steel, smooth opening and closing. I have the black bladed version and it has seen plenty of use. Pretty pricey for what it is, but a good blade nonetheless.

Had to take a picture for this thread. I always like my 440C 530SBK that I used for ultralight carry. When I stumbled upon a 531 in a shop I had to buy it right there.
Now one of my favorite EDCs. Then I didn't want to lose my ole trusty 530/440C so I went to REI and bought a new 530 154cm. I actually like the serrations because it adds cutting power to a very light weight but capable knife.

I’d love a satin M390 531 blade... S30V will hold me over until that LE comes to fruition :)

Here's my version; Knifeworks special from a few years ago. Limited to 30 pieces, they came out of box with a lot of flaws. This example 16/30 was sent up and given a Gold class treatment. Polished all hardware to silver, and with a convex edge, the CF scales were redone to perfection. My first Benchmade was a 440C 530, these are great knives!
