I like all three of these knives, but will be getting just one.Which one out of these 4 is best knife overall, easiest to carry, has the best edge geometry for cutting, has the best steel and best quality overall?Knife would be used for basic edc and food prep.Theyre in the same price range. Is there something else with 4 inch blade, light ,easy to carry in same price range or less expensive and with thinner blade? All info welcome!ps,I have many 3,3.5 inch blades, but find them too short for food cutting,so I need something longer.I have victorinox paring knife with 4inch blade that's excellent for food prep, but need something that folds and can carry it on me all the time.If I do not find anything I like, Ill continue carrying Cold steel eland or Kudu,Eland is excellent for food prep, but little big to edc.

Out of the four I have only two: BM 710-1401 and Spyderco military digicam/dlc and ti. You cannot go wrong with either. If I have to pick one, it will be the titanium military.

Since you mention food-prep, I'd reco the 710. I've had a few of them, as well as Millies. Both are excellent folders, but the Military is, IMO, built more heavily, has much thicker blade-stock, and probably will not slice as well as the 710. If you want to hike thru the woods, take the Millie.
Not familiar with the Extreme Ratio folder. IF you get the Police, the SS grip would NOT be my choice of scales.

Did you honestly use 710 and millie for food prep?

If by food prep you mean cutting up food before you stick it in your mouth hole then yes :D

EDC style no less!

That one is easy - Police 3 all the way. Outstanding food prep folder. Mine was one of the sharpest out-of-the-box edges I've ever felt.

I am surprised that not too many people like police3 with g10.

I couldn't agree more; what's not to like? An Endura with a choil, sexier blade, ss liners & backspacer, better ergo's and so slim you can forget it's in the pocket - it is a superb folder that excels in the kitchen as well.

The Resolza is a beautiful and elegant fighting knife with nearly a 5-inch blade. It's nearly 6 inches closed. There is no pocket clip and it's a two-handed opener.

I don't like to use folding knives for food prep, but I'd probably pick the Resolza because it has the longest blade and it is the thinnest. The blade stock is 0.11 inches, and it has a very pointy point and a strong distal taper. The handle isn't as good as the Military or the others for ergos. The handle is long and thin and smooth. There is no thumb ramp. The Military would give you the most control for food prep.

But I don't see the Resolza as much of an EDC. The Military would offer you the best ergos and the widest selection of steels.

Its hard to decide between those,i want all of these knives.pOlice g10was the one I always wanted, will probably get all of these when funds are right. My old ss police was nice knife and easy to carry just slippery.

I have a 710-1401, a SS Police PE and 3 Millies.
I would choose the 710. Best action of the bunch and has an amazing blade profile. Closely followed by a Millie. Not crazy bout the Police I have......terribly slippery. Cool looking knife tho.
If you decide on the 710 give the KW exclusive, 710-1401, a serious look. That M390 is a fantastic steel!
Good luck!

This police with g10 is different from ss police, has thin flat grind and is easy to carry.I think 710 is the best knife out of these overall, but will see.I need longer blade,as it cuts easier.Probably.the policeg10 will be first one ill get, then 710,and military,id like one of sprint runs in carbon steel. Most people prefer military over police 3,and it may be better,i need one thats easier to.carry, old ss police is good too,for utility.ps.I like paramilitary 2 and have it,its blade is just too short, otherwise its excellent knife, same with.griptilian.

Yes I know. But what I was really questioning is the claim that 710 is a better choice for food prep than the Millie.

^ +1 Spyderco Military Titanium

^ After reading this, perhaps a Military with G-10 scales would be a better suggestion.

Spyderco Pattada. It has the same blade length as Spyderco Military but much more compact, overall shorter and much narrower. It's a more manageable ER Resolza with the same modern amenities.

I have to force myself to carry something other than my 710, and then a day or two later, somehow it's back in my pocket.
